About Studio Mishkan

Studio Mishkan is an architectural studio based in Ahmedabad and Lonavala, operating in the fields of Architecture and Interior Design.
Mishkan means “to dwell” or “to live in”, and using our design expertise, we aim to build sustainable, context-driven spaces/buildings for our clients to live, to work, and in return, to give them something more than they could dream for!”
We at Studio Mishkan, intend to bring fresh, modern design ideas onto the table, that are derived from the pre-existing site conditions & needs of a client. As designers, we make sure we do not impose our design ideas on our clients, but only add our creative solutions, to what the client aims to achieve.

Nikhil Shewaramani, Founder

Nikhil Shewaramani, founding partner of Studio Mishkan, started pursuing his passion for buildings by graduating with a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Dharamsinh Desai University in Gujarat, India, in the year 2014.

He then decided to quench his desire to get involved with the design aspect of a building, instead of just Constructing a building, by pursuing architecture from the prestigious Mackintosh School of Architecture of The Glasgow School of Art, Glasgow, United Kingdom in 2017, with a RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) BA in Architecture.

His extensive professional experiences include working in Dubai for a residential development company, where he was involved in master planning thousands of townhouses as part of a massive Township spread over thousands of acres of land. He also worked for Matharoo Associates & Blocher Partners in Ahmedabad, India.

Sandeep Bind, Founder

Sandeep Bind, founding partner of Studio Mishkan, graduated from Pad. Dr. DY Patil College of Architecture, Pune.

He has an extensive work experience of 8 years which includes working at Matharoo Associates and German based firm Blocher Partners in Ahmedabad and Shabbir Unwala’s Design Workshop in Lonavala. During this course of time, he worked on a wide range of projects including residential, commercial, hospitality, and institutional projects.

His learning and experiences in the field of Architecture has made him develop a unique sense of detailing in designs and also visualising out-of-the-box designs. His creative thinking is conspicuous in his competition entry for Mixed-use development of a Smart City in Bhopal, organized by Government of India, that won him the Second Prize.

Atik Bheda, Associate Architect

Born in Navsari, studied architecture in BVBCET, Hubballi & worked as an Architect in Mumbai, Bangalore and Ahmedabad. Atik is an architect, published photographer and self-proclaimed pun maker. With over 5 years of experience, he specializes in commercial space planning/real estate development and institutional projects.
